A virus much worse than
COVID-19 Coronavirus has been eating away at our souls
since the Garden of
Eden. Adam and Eve were created by God and placed in a perfect environment.
Then one day Satan came to visit, and they chose to listen to him and not their
Creator … God. They rebelled against God, thinking they could be like Him, and
sin took over.
COVID-19 Coronavirus is a
killer. It is very lethal to some, destroying their bodies and taking their
lives. Fortunately, many are not affected by the virus. They either do not get
the virus, or they survive its attack. However, compared to the sin virus, the COVID-19
Coronavirus is weak as a kitten.
Apart from the works of Jesus
and His offer of salvation, the sin virus takes no prisoners. First of all,
everyone is infected. Every single human being since our original parents, Adam
and Eve, is infected with the sin virus. Everyone is spiritually dead. Everyone
will suffer for eternity in hell then the lake of fire without a remedy.
The sin virus has brought to
mankind wars, murder, rape, theft, lying, perversion, greed, pride and these
are just a few examples out of pages and pages that could be mentioned.
Because of the COVID-19 Coronavirus,
all sports events have been terminated. Most businesses have been shut down.
Our borders have been closed. We have shut down our entire country because of a
virus that is able to kill our body.
However, reputable doctors
and scientists say we have a drug in our arsenal that we can use with
confidence against COVID-19 Coronavirus. It has been around for 65 years and
has been used for malaria patients successfully. It is also used for lupus and
rheumatoid arthritis patients. It is totally safe. (However, since President
Trump has mentioned it, the hounds from hell speak unfavorably of it. No
surprise.) It is called Hydroxychloroquine. Our doctors and scientists are also
working on other solutions. There is definitely hope for the near future in
fighting this virus.
The COVID-19 Coronavirus,
world-wide, is taking the lives of about 6% of those it infects. Now think
about this. The sin virus infects 100% of everyone born upon the earth and
takes the lives (both spiritually and physically) of everyone … 100%.
Important: the COVID-19 Coronavirus can only take our physical life, but the
sin virus destroys both body and our soul.
As I mentioned, there is hope
for a remedy to fight the COVID-19 Coronavirus, but for the sin virus there is
more than just hope. There is an absolute guaranteed remedy to permanently,
once-and-for-all remove our sin virus. That guarantee is Jesus Christ, the Son
of God. Jesus paid for our infection of the sin virus upon the cross and
conquered its power by His resurrection from the grave. All He requires of us
is to place our trust in Him. If we will just turn our lives over to Him, He
will save us.
“O
death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” (1 Corinthians
15:55)
If you were to get the
Coronavirus, and you’re lying in bed dying, would you take the medicine
prescribed to you, especially if the doctor says, “This will cure you?” I
would, and of course you would too.
Well, without Jesus in our
life, we are just one heartbeat away from eternal death. That means not only
does our body die, but we are assigned to the lake of fire for all eternity.
The Great Physician has the cure. It is Jesus. Will you accept God’s remedy of
His Son Jesus? I have, and He wants you to also.
Some may say, “I don’t
believe in God.”
“The
fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done
abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” (Psalm 14:1)
Some may say, “I’m a good
person. God will let me in Heaven.”
“For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23
“For
the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Some may say, “Does God
really guarantee it?”
“There
is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1)
“For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not
his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of
the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18)
When it comes to our bodies,
isn’t it true that we will try anything humanly possible that might help us get
well and keep us alive? Of course it is true. That is how it should be. No one
is to be criticized for that.
These earthly bodies only
last a short while, but our soul lives forever, either in Heaven or hell. Doesn’t
it make sense that we should be even more concerned about our soul? By putting
our faith in Jesus Christ we are guaranteed to spend eternity with Him. Jesus
permanently removes the sin virus from all those who come to Him to be saved
(healed).
